Ottavio Boron (Occy) - Head Coach, Co - Director

Director of Tournament Tennis for the past 35 years and developed a coaching program that involves pupils and coaches. 

I played my junior tennis in Melbourne and traveled to play the ITF junior circuit in Italy and went on to play the French circuit for a few years after. 

I have been coaching for the past 35 years and established a great rapport with the children and their parents that I coach.

I am a Tennis Australia qualified Club Professional/Advanced Coach and a registered member of Tennis Australia.

Another Tournament Tennis staff member even endorsed by Rafa himself. If you see me driving around give me a beep!!

Michael Burke- Head Coach, Co - Director

Director of Tournament Tennis since 2023 and has helped developed a coaching program that excites and engages pupils and players.

I played juniors at Coatesville TC starting back in 2003 and climbed quickly to Section 1 taking out the top honors. Followed by Men’s Pennant Grade Title and I still play to this day.

I have been coaching for the past 15 years & feel I have a great knowledge and understanding of the game along with a great rapport with kids and parents. I excel at instructing and motivating his pupils to love the sport and keep improving every day.

I have a Tennis Australia Club Professional Coach Qualification & Personal Training Qualification also a registered member of Tennis Australia.

Lindsay Newby

Coach Lindsay has played all his juniors through Tournament Tennis and now competes in Pennant for Coatesville TC. Lindsay has a great passion and understanding of the game of tennis and what it takes to get the best out of each player in an active and engaging way.
Lindsay is about to start his Level 1 Junior Development Course with Tennis Australia.

George Nalbandis

George commenced coaching for Tournament Tennis in 2009. He has developed into a competent and understanding Coach. George has the ability to instill confidence in his pupils, understanding the Coaching Program and the benefits it has for all clients. George coaches in all Programs from Hot Shots Tennis through to Shared and Private lessons. George is part of the Coaching Team and hopes one day to become a Club Professional Tennis Australia Coach.

James Oklander.

James has played at a national level, including Grade 1 Mens Pennant as well as having competed in several national tournaments. James has completed his Tennis and Personal Trainer qualification. James has a thorough understanding of what is needed to take a junior players game to the next level through his personal experience of playing and coaching a variety of state players.

Abbey Smith

Coach Abbey has played all her juniors through Tournament Tennis and achieved great results as a player in Section 1. Abbey now wants to give back and teach the next players to grow and improve just as she did through her own tennis journey.

Maisy McCallum

Coach Maisy has played all her juniors through Tournament Tennis and currently competes in Section 1. Maisy now wants to give back and teach the next players to grow and improve just as she did through her own tennis journey.

Surabhi Varma

Coach Surabhi has a thorough understanding of what is needed to take a junior players game to the next level through her personal experience of playing at a high level.

Nicholas De La Cruz

Coach Nic has played all his juniors through Tournament Tennis and achieved great results as a player in Section 1. Nicohlas now wants to give back and teach the next players to grow and improve just as he did through his own tennis journey.
